Panorama at Maré
Keeping up with our commitment to take dance performances to less central neighborhoods of Rio de Janeiro, Panorama 2014 set up partnerships with Centro das Artes da Maré, in Rio’s northern zone, where 3 workshops with artists from our main program will take place. Centro de Artes da Maré will also host 3 performances of Biomashup, by Cristian Duarte em Cia.

De Keersmaeker is one of the most important choreographers of our time. For Rosas she has created a series of works that establishes movements in time and space. In this workshop she will show some of the creative process used in her company. A unique opportunity, not to be missed.
David Mambouch (France)

David Mambouch is an actor, writer and theatre director. He has been a permanent cast member at Théâtre National Populaire de Villeurbanne since 2010 and has directed several of their plays. Joined Compagnie Maguy Marin in 2012 and in 2013 began working on Singspiele, which he will present at this year’s Panorama with Benjamin Lebreton and Maguy Marin.

When so much is said about acceptable family structures, artist Paloma Calle invites Cariocas for an inter-operating workshop about family diversity. Families are her working material: their experiences will be used to create an ironic and light-hearted performance. This activity is part of Panoraminha
Paloma Calle was born Madrid, where she studied audiovisual communications, dance and theatre. She continued here studies in dance and theatre in Berlin and Rome. Her works, which tend to focus on performances and the visual arts, have been presented in museums, private homes, supermarkets and various public spaces in Europe and Asia.
