PANORAMINHA | Danse étoffée sur musique déguisée
In his first work aimed at children, Swiss choreographer Thomas Hauert created an enchanted world. With minimalistic music by John Cage played live by pianist Lea as a background, the performance tells the story of a strange character that changes slowly until it is recognized as a human being. A universe made up of characters built from balloons, socks and cottons and strange creatures that live in a world of dreams and fantasies. An intelligent performance that allows each young spectator to create his own world and give rise to his own imagination.
Thomas Hauert studied in Rotterdam and in 1991 moved to Brussels, where he worked with Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. He collaborated with Gonnie Heggen, David Zambrano and Pierre Droulers until founding ZOO in 1998. His company has since performed more than 15 shows, with a special interest in improvisation. Argentinean pianist Lea, who also lives in Brussels, has written the soundtrack to several contemporary dance choreographies, plays, performances as well as experimental music pieces.
